Market of Red Bank will be donated to the Ronald McDonald House until September
30, 2008. The Ronald McDonald house provides a “home away from home”
for families of seriously ill children being treated in area hospitals.
Menu of the Month
Pasta Salad with Fresh Tomatoes and Basil
1 pound pasta (preferably Gaetano’s
homemade Fusilli)
1 pound ripe tomatoes, cored, seeded and cut into ˝ inch
dice
Ľ cup extra virgin olive oil
1 medium clove garlic minced
Ľ cup fresh basil shredded
salt and pepper to taste
1) Cook
pasta al dente
2) While pasta is cooking, toss together the
tomatoes, oil, garlic, basil, salt and pepper in a large bowl. Add the drained
pasta and toss well. Serve at once, or cool to room temperature before serving.
(NOTE: The fresher the pasta the better the
salad)
